SBVC Men’s Basketball takes 3rd Place Title at RCC Tourney

SBVC (12-2) opened up the Riverside City Holiday Tournament with a hard fought victory over the Antelope Valley Marauders (6-4), then punished the Fullerton Hornets (2-8), falling to the Saddleback Gauchos (12-1) and then demolishing the L.A. Pierce Brahmas (8-7) in the 3rd place Championship game.

SBVC (9-1) is starting to hit their stride and it is still early December as they bludgeoned teams on their way to becoming back-to-back Champions of the Gregg Anderson Memorial Tournament, defeating the Cal Lutheran Kingsmen, the L.A. Pierce Brahmas (6-4) and the L.A. Harbor Seahawks (6-2).

SBVC (3-6) have had their fair share of tough losses in the early part of the season, but they have shown glimpses of greatness knocking off a NorCal team in the West Hills-Lemoore Golden Eagles (4-3), then giving it their all against the Bakersfield Renegades (7-0), and finally in the 3rd Place Championship narrowly falling to the Moorpark Raiders (5-3).

2014 Season in Review - Women's Soccer

The team finished the season ranked 11th in the nation by the NSCAA, and were ranked fourth in Southern California and sixth in the state. Ending the year with a 15-2-6 overall record and a 7-0-3 conference record. They were rewarded with a #8 seed in the Southern California Regional Playoffs. As a reward for their sixth Conference Championship, the team was bestowed with four first team All-Conference honors and four second team All-Conference honors.

The 2014 season was the seventh year for head coach Tricia Rossman as SBVC ended the season with a record of 7-15 overall and 3-7 in Conference, finishing fourth.
