SBVC Football puts on a show late, but falls to the Vaqueros, 38-28

SBVC (2-1) opened the game with a lengthy drive and a touchdown, but then proceeded to surrender the next 31 points unanswered, only to roar back to within three with less than a minute left, but fell short at the Glendale Vaqueros (3-0), 38-28.

SBVC Men’s Cross Country finishes 16th at the Mustang Challenge

In their third event of the 2014 season, the SBVC Men’s Cross Country team faced off with some NCAA Division One power houses, such as Cal State Fullerton, UC Irvine and Loyola Marymount, as the team grabbed a 16th place finish at the Mustang Challenge. The top individual finisher for SBVC placed 80th, sophomore Robert Blanco (San Bernardino San Gorgonio) with a time of 28:50.3.

SBVC Men’s Soccer suffers tough loss to Jaguars, 2-1

SBVC (4-3-1) had their hands full with last season’s Pacific Coast Champs, as the visitors opened up the scoring in the 5th minute, home side would equalize in the 20th minute, but a fluke goal given up just before halftime proved to be the difference as the Chula Vista Southwestern Jaguars (1-4-2) moved on, 2-1.

SBVC Women’s Cross Country finishes 8th at the SoCal Preview

In their second event of the 2014 season, the SBVC Women’s Cross Country team grabbed an eighth place finish at the SoCal Preview, the top individual finisher for SBVC placed 19th, freshman Pandora Mondragon (Fontana Jurupa Hills) with a time of 19:23.3.

SBVC Women’s Soccer beats the heat and the Mounties, 1-0

SBVC (4-0-2) played through some difficult conditions, including intense heat and humidity, but not as extreme as the contest on the field, where they knocked off the previously unbeaten Walnut Mt. San Antonio Mounties (3-1), 1-0.
