SBVC (28-10) hosted the best of three series with the Santa Clarita College of the Canyons Cougars (24-14) and were held to eight hits and two runs over two games, as SBVC fell, 3-2.

SBVC (28-9), the Foothill Conference Champions, had a tough time entering the playoffs as the #4 seeded team in the Southern California Regionals, as they took on the #13 seeded College of the Canyons Cougars (23-14) and were pitched a four hit shutout, 7-0.

SBVC Baseball will open up the CCCAA Southern California Regionals as the #4 seed, hosting #13 seeded College of the Canyons (22-14) in a “best 2 out of 3” series beginning this Friday, May 3rd at 2 p.m.

SBVC (27-8; 19-4) celebrated their numerous sophomore players prior to the game versus the Victorville Victor Valley Rams (4-31; 1-22), honoring their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom, then SBVC took the field and shutout the Rams, 11-0.

SBVC (25-8; 17-4) took a big leap towards securing a high seeding for the upcoming SoCal Regionals, clinching their first Foothill Conference Championship since 2004 by sweeping their cross-County rivals the Rancho Cucamonga Chaffey Panthers (18-15; 10-11), 3-2.

SBVC (23-8; 15-4) played a tight game versus their cross County and Foothill Conference rivals, but a 4 run outburst in the 8th and a complete game by sophomore right handed starting pitcher Manny Arciniega (8-1) (Hemet West Valley) put the game away over the Rancho Cucamonga Chaffey Panthers (18-13; 10-9), 6-2.

SBVC (21-8; 13-4) continue to prove why they are a top five team in Southern California, as sophomore catcher Ryan Miller (Hemet Tahquitz) hit the first home run of the 2013 season for SBVC and cruised to a 9-3 victory over the #19 Barstow Vikings (20-11; 12-8), 9-3.
