SBVC Baseball: Cisneros, Przybylek, Conlin and Kloke sign letters of intent

SBVC Baseball’s Nick Przybylek, Aaron Cisneros, Brandon Conlin and Kurtis Kloke have all signed a letters of intent. Przybylek with Campbellsville University, Cisneros with University of California, Riverside, Conlin with Colorado State University-Pueblo and Kloke with Pacific University Oregon.

Baseball head coach Bill Mierzwik was named as the winner the Foothill Conference Coach of the Year award. An award bestowed upon Mierzwik after guiding SBVC to their third straight Conference Championship, approaching a historic coaching milestone by capturing his 593rd coaching victory. Sophomore right handed starting pitcher Nick Przybylek (Riverside Martin Luther King, Jr.) was named All-State and Foothill Conference Pitcher of the Year; in addition, six other players were named first team All-Conference.

SBVC Baseball opens up strong, but falls late to the Gauchos, 11-3

SBVC (23-15) needed to win game two to force a deciding game three, but that was not to be, as #6 SBVC was upset by the #11 seeded Mission Viejo Saddleback Gauchos (25-13), 11-3.

SBVC Baseball struggles in game one against Gauchos, 18-8

SBVC (23-14) found themselves in a 7-2 hole early and fought back to tie the game at 7-7 in the bottom of the 7th in game one of a best-of-three series with the Mission Viejo Saddleback Gauchos (24-13), but the visitors were not pleasant guests as they added two in the 8th and sent 14 to the plate in the 9th to take game one, 18-8.

SBVC Baseball will host #11 Saddleback in the CCCAA Playoffs

SBVC Baseball (23-13) grabbed its 15th Baseball Foothill Conference title and its third straight title for the first time in program history, the team was rewarded with the #6 seed and will open the first round of the CCCAA SoCal Regionals hosting the #11 Mission Viejo Saddleback Gauchos (23-13) on Friday, May 1st at 2 p.m.

SBVC Baseball wins 15th Foothill Conference crown on walk off hit in the 12th

SBVC (23-13; 19-5) had to play a winner take all game, with a Foothill Conference title on the line, both teams received fantastic performances on the mound and from their defenses, as the game stretched past regulation and went into extra innings, but the home team prevailed over the Whittier Rio Hondo Roadrunners (26-10; 18-6), 1-0.

SBVC Baseball falls in a close game to Roadrunners, 3-1

SBVC (21-13; 17-5) has already secured a playoff position, but is still in need of wins in order to improve that playoff positon, that goal had a set back today as the Whittier Rio Hondo Roadrunners (26-8; 18-4), the team they were tied with going into this three-game series took game one, 3-1.

SBVC Baseball falls to the Panthers, 6-2

SBVC (20-12; 16-4) had a tough time at the plate, only securing one hit, but had a fantastic performance on the mound and amazing defensive plays that held up for seven innings, but the magic slipped away and the Rancho Cucamonga Chaffey Panthers (17-14-1; 13-8) snapped SBVC’s 13 game winning streak, 6-2.

SBVC Baseball takes #11 ranking into big home game on Thursday

SBVC (20-11; 16-3) was just elevated to #11 in Southern California in the latest CCCBCA poll moments later the team knocked off the Rancho Cucamonga Chaffey Panthers (16-15; 12-7), 8-2.

SBVC Baseball rolls up the Roadrunners, 14-5

SBVC (19-11; 15-3) rolled to their 12th straight win as they scored eight runs in the first and cruised to another knock out of the Palm Desert College of the Desert (8-24; 7-14), 14-5.
