SBVC Men’s Basketball sophomore forward Tevin Harris (Dallas, TX Madison) has signed a letter of intent with California State University, Bakersfield.

Harris was named first team All-Conference along with two other players from the 2011-2012 team. SBVC grabbed their third Men’s Basketball Foothill Conference title in four years, also capturing Conference MVP and Conference Coach of the Year honors. Additionally, Harris received a Certificate of Recognition from California State Assemblyman, Mike Morrell. Harris averaged 9.3 points per game and had a 52% field goal percentage his sophomore year. He also averaged 5.9 boards per game and tied the

team lead in blocked shots with 74.
SBVC Men’s Basketball ended the 2011-2012 season having won 25 games, on their way to making their fourth straight playoff appearance. Continuing to cement its reputation as a dominant program in the region, the team was within one victory of heading back to the State Finals for the first time since 2009-2010 season.
The CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners play in Icardo Center and the team is coached by, Rod Barnes. In the 2011-2012 season the Roadrunners finished with an overall record of 16-15. CSU Bakersfield competed as an independent during the 2011-2012 season, while playing in the NCAA Division I. The Roadrunners Men’s Basketball team won the NCAA Division II title in 1993, 1994, and 1997.
