SBVC Men's Cross Country was at a sizable disadvantage this time at Woodward Park in Fresno, as a de-facto All-Star team of Northern California runners, tripped up SBVC at the State Finals after 5 consecutive championships.

SBVC Men’s Cross Country won their 6th consecutive Southern California championship with 68 points, squeaking by their nearest opponent, L.A. Trade Tech, by 7 points.

SBVC Men’s Cross Country won their 16th consecutive Foothill Conference championship and 21st overall with 15 points, destroying their nearest opponent, Antelope Valley, by 47 points and eight of the top nine finishers were SBVC runners.

SBVC Men's Cross Country sophomore distance runner Art Para (Hesperia Sultana) and SBVC Men’s Track & Field middle distance runner Dwayne Booker (San Bernardino H.S.) were offered full scholarships and signed with Wayland Baptist University.

Last season the SBVC men’s cross country team ended the year winning their 5th consecutive state championship and their 15th consecutive Foothill Conference championship.

SBVC Men's Cross Country sophomore distance runners Carlos Perez (Barstow), Ray Dominguez (Menifee Paloma Valley), and Martin Sanchez (Rancho Cucamonga H.S.) have signed letters of intent. Perez and Dominguez were offered full scholarships and signed with Shorter University, while Sanchez will join former teammate Travis Nemchick at Adams State.

SBVC Men’s Cross Country won the “OnCampus.PE.com Men's Team of the Year” award from the Riverside Press-Enterprise. San Bernardino Valley’s runners won the school’s fifth consecutive state championship in the sport and the thirteenth in any sport since the school was founded. This is the second consecutive year that SBVC Men’s Cross Country has been bestowed this award.

SBVC Men's Cross Country sophomore distance runner Travis Nemchick (Menifee Paloma Valley) has signed a letter of intent with Adams State College.

San Bernardino Valley’s runners won the school’s fifth consecutive state championship in the sport and the thirteenth in any sport since the school was founded. Led by several returners from the 2009 state championship team, San Bernardino steamrolled through the Foothill Conference and Southern California Regional meets before posting an 17-point victory in the state meet in Fresno. The 17-point victory over their nearest opponent, Northern California Champion Sacramento American River College, is their closest yet, considering they defeated Orange Coast College by 66 points last year. Los Angeles Trade Tech finished in third.

The SBVC Men's Cross Country team continued their dominance of Southern California opponents, by dismantling the competition at the Southern California Finals at Mission Bay in San Diego. The team finished a combined 63 points ahead of their nearest opponent. The Women's Cross Country team finished 26th behind champion Southwestern.
