As a reward for her good finish at the Southern California Finals, freshman Melina Hernandez (Indio H.S.) was the only woman from the 2011 SBVC Women's Cross Country team selected to run at the State finals finishing 39th with a time of 19:35.11.

SBVC Women’s Cross Country finished in 22nd place at the SoCal championship with 558 points, which was 11 points ahead of their nearest competition, Imperial Valley, and 531 points behind champion, Glendale.

SBVC Women’s Cross Country finished in 3rd place at the championship with 82 points, which was 14 points ahead of their nearest competition, host Rio Hondo, and 62 points behind Conference champion, Antelope Valley.

SBVC Women’s Cross Country Head Coach, Ken Blumenthal has guided his team to three Foothill Conference titles since taking over the program in 2003, the most recent being in 2007.

The SBVC Men's Cross Country team continued their dominance of Southern California opponents, by dismantling the competition at the Southern California Finals at Mission Bay in San Diego. The team finished a combined 63 points ahead of their nearest opponent. The Women's Cross Country team finished 26th behind champion Southwestern.

The SBVC Men's Cross Country team showed themselves to be the team to beat in the state, by crushing their competition at the Foothill Conference Finals at Guasti Park in Ontario. The Women's Cross Country team finished fourth in Conference behind champion Victor Valley.

Longtime SBVC coach Ken Blumenthal led the team to fourth place finish in the Foothill Conference, missing third place by one point.
