SBVC Football knocks out the Wildcats, 47-24

SBVC (2-0) allowed a big play to open the game, and then proceeded to pummel the visitors with 21 unanswered points, both teams went into halftime with SBVC up 24-14, but the gloves would come off in the second half as SBVC exploded for 16 points in less than two minutes and cruised to victory over the Culver City West Los Angeles Wildcats (0-2), 47-24.

SBVC (1-0) started the regular season with an impressive inaugural victory for head coach John Shipp, getting fantastic production from both sides of the ball and knocking off the Santa Barbara City Vaqueros (0-1), 18-10.

San Bernardino Valley College has just announced the addition of new head coach John Shipp to the SBVC football program. The San Bernardino Community College District has approved his hire as of July 10th.

SBVC Football: Two All-Americans & Five All-State honored

SBVC Football had two All-Americans selected and five All-California players selected by the JC Athletic Bureau and the California Community College Football Coaches Association. Named All-Americans were sophomore defensive lineman John Siliga (Redlands H.S.) and freshman kicker Jonathan Gonzales (Apple Valley H.S.).

SBVC Football has a hard time bowling over the Jaguars, 34-23

SBVC (8-3) in their first bowl game in three years had a familiar foe in their sights, after a stinging defeat earlier in the year retribution was their goal and this time on a bigger stage, a late barrage of scoring was not enough for SBVC as they fell to the hosts of the Patriotic Bowl, the Chula Vista Southwestern Jaguars (9-2), 34-23.

SBVC (8-2; 5-2) had a tie game going into the early second quarter then didn’t look back as they head to their first Bowl game since 2010, knocking off the Compton Tartars (0-10, 0-7), 40-7.

SBVC Football put together a solid performance over the Eagles, 48-30

SBVC (7-2; 4-2) arrived at the game with the same Divisional record going in and came out victorious as the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles (4-5; 3-3) fell out of bowl contention, 48-30.
