SBVC Football: 2012 Schedule Released

The Southern California Football Association (SCFA) has released its entire 2012 schedule. SBVC Football will resume its rivalry with Antelope Valley, Glendale, and Santa Monica in their non-Conference schedule.

Under third-year coach Kevin Emerson, SBVC finished with a record 4-6 overall and 2-3 in conference. SBVC struggled this season, a year away from the offensive juggernaut that was ranked throughout the year as the number one scoring team in the state. This year was a season of change, but with promises of success for 2012.

SBVC (4-6; 2-3) played a solid first half then came out in the third quarter and allowed 20 unanswered points, but just when you thought SBVC was out, they roared back scoring 23 on the Monterey Park East Los Angeles Huskies (7-3; 5-0), giving the Huskies a scare, but falling 48-44.

SBVC (3-6; 2-2) punished the Victorville Victor Valley Rams (3-6; 2-2) for 210 yards on the ground and 195 yards in the air, as freshman wide receiver Stacy Howard (Fontana Azariel Blanchard Miller) set a school record with 5 touchdown catches and freshman quarterback Daniel Farley (Windsor, CT Loomis Chaffee) set a school record with 6 touchdown passes, in a lopsided victory, 59-41.

SBVC (2-6; 1-2) had put together an impressive first quarter, building a 10-0 lead, and even took a 10-7 lead into half time, but the host San Diego Mesa Olympians (2-6; 1-2) came out swinging in the second half and SBVC fell, 21-10.
SBVC Football trashes the Tartars, 40-13

SBVC (2-5, 1-1) pounded perennial Mountain Conference doormat, the Compton Tartars (0-7, 0-2), 40-13. SBVC built a 20-0 lead before the Tartars snuck in for the score right before halftime.

SBVC Football (1-5; 0-1) tied the game at 7-7 late in the 1st quarter and that was the closest they would get to the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles (3-3; 1-0), as SBVC lost their Mountain Conference opener, 43-28.

SBVC Football (1-4) was desperate for a win prior to Mountain Conference play, but the Chula Vista Southwestern Jaguars (4-1) proved to be too much for SBVC at home, 31-20.
