SBVC Men’s Track & Field will have a middle distance runner and jumper representing the program at the upcoming CCCAA Track and Field State Championships taking place this Friday and Saturday at the College of San Mateo.

SBVC Men’s Track & Field qualified five student athletes for the CCCAA Track & Field Southern California Regional Finals being held at Antelope Valley College on May 11th.

SBVC Men’s Track & Field traveled to San Diego Mesa for the Pacific Coast Conference Finals, finishing third as a team behind eventual champion, Mesa, but finished second in the 1500 meters, the high jump and the javelin throw.

SBVC Men’s Track & Field sent 23 student athletes to the Mangrum Invitational at Cal State San Marcos. Of the 20 events at the Mangrum Invitational at Cal State San Marcos, SBVC participated in 14 events, of which SBVC finished in the top ten in 11 of those events.

SBVC Men’s Track & Field sent 16 student athletes to the Spring Break Classic at UC Irvine.

SBVC Men’s Track & Field sent nine student athletes to the Beach Classic at Cerritos College.

SBVC Men’s Track & Field rounded out a top three finish with 18 points, 2.5 points ahead of Biola University and 32.5 points behind champion San Diego Mesa.

SBVC Men’s Track & Field sophomore Julian Lopez (Eastvale Eleanor Roosevelt) who finished third in the 3000 meter (2.5 miles) steeplechase at the Track & Field State Finals, was named an All-American.

SBVC Men’s Track & Field was represented by three distance runners, sophomore Jonathan Lopez (Eastvale Eleanor Roosevelt) participated in the 5000 Meter Run (3.1 miles), freshman Juan Arjona (Moreno Valley Vista del Lago) participated in the 1500 Meter Run (0.932 miles), and sophomore Julian Lopez (Eastvale Eleanor Roosevelt) participated in the 3000 meter (2.5 miles) steeplechase.

SBVC Men’s Track & Field will have three distance runners representing the program at the upcoming State Finals at Cerritos College this Friday and Saturday.
