PHYSICAL TRAINING

The S.B.V.C. Academy physical training program consists of 66 ninety (90) minute sessions, for a total 92.5 hours. The trainees also receive a classroom lecture and an assessment test in Lifetime Fitness, conducted by our staff physical trainer, bringing our total hours to 99.5 hours.

The S.B.V.C. Academy Staff participates with the students in all aspects of the physical training program, which includes aerobic runs, mats, weights, formation runs on pavement, dirt roads and hills.

The campus gymnasiums are available to the Academy trainees for physical training warm-ups and other related intensive psychomotor skills training. The campus weight rooms are also available to the trainees which contain universal weight machines (various muscle group), stationary bicycles, treadmills, stair steppers and free weights.

Safety is monitored during runs at all times and is considered paramount by the S.B.V.C. Staff. A Staff member stays with slower packs of runners to ensure no one is not being evaluated and monitored during aerobic runs.
