SBVC Fourth Straight Win! First Time Since 1997! SBVC went into the locker room at half time down, 13-28. Then came roaring back to win the game 42-38, to move to 4-1 in Mountain Conference play. The last time SBVC won 4 straight games was in 1997. Southwestern came out gunning, going for the no huddle offense, which eventually caught up to them as the Jaguars looked exhausted going into the fourth quarter. SBVC capitalized and Southwestern could not muster enough of an offensive drive to take the lead again. Even as the knee injuries started piling up for SBVC, they held their ground not giving up the short plays, but relinquishing the long touchdowns. The offensive line impressed the crowd and the coaching staff, opening up holes for the running back core and protecting passers.The SBVC defense played strong all four quarters, the special teams were virtually mistake free, and penalties were at a minimum. |
