Volleyball:
Tough fought loss to Antelope Valley SBVC took the Foothill Conference second place, Antelope Valley Marauders, to the brink, only to lose in dramatic fashion, 3 games to 2. Marauders had streaks of 8 straight points in game 2, 6 straight points in game 3, and 8 straight points in game 4. Marauders libero Kahli Remy (Quartz Hill) was handed a red card by the officials, giving SBVC a much valued point late in game two. SBVC freshman outside hitter Breeana Lotenero (Rim of the World) had 10 digs and 13 kills, sophomore setter Christy Brosius (Glendale, AZ Ironwood) had 39 set assists, and freshman libero Shelby Newman (Redlands East Valley) and freshman outside hitter Jennae Daniels (Riverside North) had 9 digs a piece. |
